I went visiting teaching today. And what a great day it was! I picked up my sister around 8:15 and we braved the traffic to go to the temple. It only took us about an hour and ten minutes, so our day started well! We ended up being there all morning and then some and had a wonderful experience. It was one of those times when everything just seemed to be "right."
She needed to do a couple of initiatories so she could use one of those names on a session, but there were already too many patrons, so we went to do some sealings first. As it turned out, there were no other sisters doing sealings, so they would not been able to do anything without us. I had a big stack of couples to be sealed and we worked on those for an hour. Just as we needed to leave, some other sisters came in and volunteered to finish the ones we hadn't gotten done.
We then did a few initiatories. Again, we were the only patrons at that time. Then we went to the 12:00 session. The session was about half full, so we were needed there, too. There is a new film for the session which is really good.
We finished at the temple at 2:00 and stopped for lunch on the way home. It was after 4:00 when we got home. A full day at the temple and we were both so happy that it happened!
