Poor Maggie. She was not feeling well last night - fever, bad back ache. She was hoping it was nothing, but she didn't have a good night either, so her husband ran her to the Quick Clinic this morning to have it checked out. It seems she has a kidney infection, so she was given an antibiotic. We decided that this was a good day to stay in and have fun. Other than her being sick, we had a good day.
Among the things we chose to do: read, do games, talk, laugh. We took a couple of hours and looked at some of Joyce's mission to Sweden pictures. That lasted until a we needed naps. Hopefully, we will find time to watch the rest of it. We also had quite a family history discussion - starting with just one question from Joyce and off we went. Fun for me, of course.
Dinner was a cookout with steak and salmon and great sides. We spent the evening being just as relaxed.
It doesn't sound like much, but we all actually thoroughly enjoyed the day. We were all able to relax with no pressure that we should be doing something else. We laughed a lot. We talked a lot. We just enjoyed being together. That is the whole purpose of our trip!
Now, hopefully the meds will help MA feel better by tomorrow, so she will enjoy it all a bit more, too.
