Sept 15th - Sabbath Day in Branson

Since we didn't get to bed until around 4:00 last night, we slept in this morning.  I still was up by 8:00, but I was the first one.  By the time everyone got up, showered, etc., it was time to get ready for church.  We had no food in the condo, so there was no breakfast.

We had found a ward that meets at 1:00, so we headed there.  We all enjoyed the meeting and the people - very friendly and fun.  With so many Mormon performers in Branson, we were bound to meet some at church, and we did.  The most delightful were the Duttons.  We enjoyed chatting with the parents.  In fact, she is the RS president and he taught gospel doctrine.

After church, the first priority was to find some food!  We ended up at a nice restaurant called Landry's, where we ate until we were stuffed!  It was all very good and we laughed a lot.  After the restaurant, we stopped at a Walmart to get a few groceries, so we would have breakfast, lunch, and snack stuff for the next couple of days.

Back at the condo, we all just relaxed.  Well, we were more like four zombies, trying to stay awake long enough to go to bed!  I was the first to cave.

What a great first day in Branson.  We will see what our next few days bring.
